Darwin Kids Go Crazy for New Water Park

Darwin's latest water park excited children at its official opening on Sunday.
Hundreds of children were eager to test out the colourful water slides despite long lines at the Leanyer Recreation Park.
Kids Cassie de Vries, 11, Paige Morris, 9, and Laura Moller, 13, won the competition to name the slippery slides. Cassie named the red coloured two-person slide that requires riders to be above 110cm in height, 'Funderstorm'.
"It was completely awesome," Cassie said about the ride, who along with her friend was the first ride the attraction.
Tameah Lowrie, 7, from Nightcliff Darwin gave two thumbs up for the Go Bananas and Blue Blast attractions.
She concurred that the Go Banana's ride was the best one "because it goes the fastest".
